Past Research Studies

On this page you can find updates and results from prior studies that are now closed to enrollment. Publication efforts are ongoing, and we will share all findings here.

The Metabolomic Pathways to Fatigue, Anxiety, Depression, and Dyspnea in Black Adults with Heart Failure and Hypertension (MFADD-HF) was an obsertvational study to examine the relationship between small proteins in your blood and symptoms in persons living with heart failure. This study was part of the Emory P30 Center for the Study of Symptom Science, Metabolomics, & Multiple Chronic Conditions.

Due to the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, this study moved to a completely remote protocol.  To learn more about how this study and other P30 Center studies adapted to research during the pandemic, please see our paper: Adaptation of Metabolomics and Microbiomic Research Protocols During the COVID-19 Pandemic.
